Ghanaian football legend, Michael Essien has been revealed as a member of FIFA 20’s new Ultimate Team Icon.

Essien will be joining the class of FUT 20 as a playable ICON in FIFA 20. He joins football legends like Andrea Pirlo, Zinedine Zidane, Kenny Daglish, Didier Drogba, Pep Guardiola and Zambrotta.

Essien, however, is the only Ghanaian footballer to be included in FIFA 20’s Ultimate Team Icon. He’s also the second African footballer to be included in the Ultimate Team Icon. The other African footballer who is part of the Ultimate Team Icon is Ivory Coast’s Didier Drogba.

Michael Essien’s in-game stats have not been revealed yet, but he is tipped to have some great stats.

Michael Essien is a dynamic midfielder whose playing style earned him the nickname ‘The Bison’. He began his career in Ligue 1 before becoming Chelsea’s record transfer in 2005. Over nine seasons at Stamford Bridge, Essien scored 17 goals in 168 appearances to help his team win two Premier League titles, six domestic cups, and the UEFA Champions League, before enjoying spells at European giants Real Madrid and AC Milan.
