BET International Flow Nominee Sarkodie, has stated that due to the recent spate of kidnappings and rapes, he has been extra guarded with his daughter TiTi.

Sarkodie who spoke exclusively to www.ghanaweb.com at his Rapperholic 2019 Unstoppable edition at Kwaleyz, said even though he doesn’t speak or tweet about the issue, it bothers him a lot, especially as a father.

According to Sarkodie, the situation is a sad one and even though he does not voice it out on social media, he takes the security of his daughter very seriously.

“ This is something that is on my heart, I may not voice it on social media but personally it really got me, that any time I drop off my daughter at school I make sure I go and pick her myself. “

Sarkodie continued: “It’s given me this whole insecurity of leaving my daughter there, and it’s not a great thing to be in especially in a country where we have the highest level of peace. And I never thought that there will be a time this is ever going to come in. It’s quite sad, we might not know where it is coming from but it is really sad”, he concluded.

Sarkodie, however, commended the Ghana Police for the work they are doing in terms of patrolling neighbourhoods and checking vehicles to make sure people are not doing anything untoward.
