Kareem Waris Olamilekan: 11-Year-Old Nigerian Artist Beats 2,723 Others To Receive World Prize

Nigeria is blessed with amazing minds.

Whiz kid Kareem Waris Olamilekan, an 11-year-old Nigerian artist, has received Taiwan’s Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural and Educational Foundation’s 22nd Fervent Global Love of Lives Award.

The young hyperrealistic artist defeated 2,723 others across the world to clinch the prize.

The disclosure of the boy’s win was made by Ambassador Vincent Yang, the representative of Taiwan in Nigeria

He said Kareem gained global attention for his marvellous drawings, a uniqueness that made him the most preferred among thousands. The Taiwanese ambassador said the young lad will be attending charity events in the company of other winners in Taipei this week, where he will meet the country’s president

Yang also added that his office had already congratulated and hosted the young creative.

It should be noted that Kareem first got the attention of global media when he did a very captivating portrait of Emmanuel Macron, the French president, during his visit to Nigeria.
