The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is currently on an official visit to the United States of America.
Otumfuo is expected to deliver a speech on the Culture of Peace at the United Nations General Assembly’s High-Level Forum on September 13.
The Forum will mark the 25th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Declaration and Program of Action in New York and at the African Union, in Washington D.C.

Before that, Otumfuo has already visited the World Bank head office.
Otumfuo was received by the President of the World Bank, David Malpass, and Shahid Ashraf Tarar, an Executive Director representing the constituency of Afghanistan, Algeria, Ghana, Iran, Morocco, Pakistan and Tunisia.

Ahead of his major September 13 major speech at the UN, Otumfuo will also be delivering a speech tonight to the African Union Representational Mission to the United States.
The King of the Asante Kingdom will be speaking on engaging the diaspora in Africa’s economic transformative revolution.
