Hopefully, at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, our fave, Akwasi Frimpong will get to represent Ghana and Africa as a whole, again.
At this moment it is a dream. A dream that must be supported for it to become a reality.
Akwasi Frimpong, who now carries the Hope of a Billion, has set himself a goal of winning Ghana’s very first medal at the Winter Olympics.
He bravely represented Ghana last year for the first at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, as a Skeleton athlete.
The road to the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing is a long one for Akwasi. It would involve a lot of training, participating in competitions and making sure that he clocks a qualifying time.
This also means access to funds to support his training and entry into competitions.
Which is why Akwasi is ecstatic after he finally signed a sponsorship deal with the Ghana Gas Company.
“My journey has outgrown just me; it is about placing #Ghana 🇬🇭 in a conversation that sells the country’s brand on a global scale,” he said in an earlier tweet today.
He ended that by sharing his appreciation to Ghana Gas for supporting his journey to the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Once again thank you @GhanaGas for showing faith in the #HopeOfABillion dream. Ghana Gas has agreed to support me as I prepare to bring home Africa's first medal at the Winter #Olympics in Beijing (2022) 🏅 🇬🇭⛽️⛄️💪🏾🙌🏾💥#ghanagas #gaschallenge #africa #beijing2022 pic.twitter.com/WHm8C19vcT
