Here are some of the reactions of Nigerians on Twitter:
Boycott South African EVERYTHING.
Fuck Big Brother Naija.
What is happening to Nigerians is more important than a fucking show.
Stop watching that show.
Cancel DSTV.
Don’t shop at ShopRite.
Boycott them all.

DSTV
MTN
Shoprite
Are all South African businesses in Nigeria .Yes, but shutting them down will put a lot of Nigerians out of work .
In a country with over 23 percent Unemployment, that’s not the way to go.
Nigerians are still the ones working in the aforementioned places.— Gentle_Ezenwanyi (@Queen_Minic) September 3, 2019
People are saying we should keep pampering DSTV and Shoprite and Multichoice because Nigerians are working there..
Lol, China didn’t think twice to ban Apple, same with Huawei in America etc. people are dying and you’re preaching pacifism🤦🏾♀️— Prince Chibuikem ⚓ (@DiceyPrince_) September 3, 2019
I hate Glo. The network is messed up . But right now, I am a Nigerian. I am destroying my Mtn sim and buying Glo. While still at it, anybody that sees me in a Shoprite store again from today should stone me. As for DSTV, I will find an alternative. Useless ungrateful bunch.
