Shoot Your Shot: Self-Taught Fashion Designer Tailor Marique Lobbies Mr Eazi For A Slot On Empawa Africa

Listen, people are shooting their shots on Twitter for all kinds of things… While some are doing that for a booty call, others are also sliding in their SOs dm to start their happily ever afters.

However, one self-taught fashion designer, who goes by the name Tailor Marique on Twitter is using the platform to shoot his shot at Mr Eazi.

Why?

Y’all remember when we told you that Mr Eazi announced the season two of his Empawa Africa?

Empawa Africa is a global accelerator programme for people in the music industry.

When Mr Eazi started Empawa Africa, he went on a hunt to identify 100 talented people in Africa whom he can support to get their music career off the ground.

J Derobie and Beyonce producer, GuiltyBeatz are all beneficiaries of the Mr Eazi Empawa programme.

With season 2 yet to kick-off, a number of young talents are gearing up to show what they are made off in hopes of catching Mr Eazi’s eye and get shortlisted for the Season 2 of Empawa Africa.

However, you can imagine our surprise when we saw a fashion designer also making a case to be added to Mr Eazi’s Empawa.

After reading Tailor Marique’s Twitter thread, we do understand why and we hope Mr Eazi will make an exception for him.

He’s got great designs and it’s a shame that he’s lost his studio. We hope Mr Eazi really considers helping out Tailor Marique even if it’s outside the Empawa Africa programme.
