Sometimes, teaching and learning go beyond the classroom, lecture notes, handouts, IAs and end of semester exams…
Sometimes, one needs to be given concrete capacity building and opportunities that will foster an individuals career growth.
We believe this is the guiding force behind Prof Eric Danquah’s new project.
Professor Danquah is the Founding Director of West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement and also the Director of Biotechnology Centre at the University of Ghana.
Three days ago, at the end of his level 300 Lecture on Genetics and the Organism Prof Eric Danquah announced the Eric Danquah Foundation which he said was set up “to develop talented students into game changers and history makers today.”

Prof Eric Danquah has done a lot for the university and crop research in Ghana, it would be an honour for any student that would be chosen to benefit from the opportunities his foundation will make available to them.
