We know those stories where people chase you to your home, school, place of work or even where you worship to ask you to pay back their money.
In Ghana, university students have access to student loan facilities which they can use to pay off some of their tuition fees, books and other academic-related expenses…
However… who are we kidding here… most people just spend the money on expensive clothes and luxurious food…yes… we know…
Now, instead of paying back the loans when they finally get a job… that one too becomes a task…
However, the Executives of the Student Loans Trust Fund have resolved that they won’t let you sleep in peace if you won’t settle your debt.
No matter where you are… they will chase you for the money.
Currently, some of the executives are in the United States of America to track down Student Loan defaulters… and they have the support of the Ambassador to the USA, H.E Barfuor Adjei-Barwuah.
Executives of Student Loans Trust Fund paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador, yesterday.
Since taking office, the CEO of the Student Loans Trust Fund, Kwaku Agyei Yeboah, has improved repayment rate from 28% to 63%.
Now they are reportedly hoping to increase repayment to 90% with the ongoing campaign in the US.
Our dear friends in the US, please be expecting a knock on the door soon if you know you owe the Student Loans Trust Fund.
