The 2019 MTV Video Music Awards happened last night and y’all know the one thing that we were looking forward to was the performances!!
No shade but it’s easy to get extremely excited watching these Western artistes perform cos we are so used to the mediocre performances we get here.

Megan The Stallion opened the pre-show with a performance of “Big Ole Freak”, “Hot Girl Summer” and “Cash Shit.”
Taylor Swift performed “You need to calm down” and performed her beautiful song, “Lover” for the first time ever!!
Can we scream for Lil Nas X’s, stellar performance? He still brought in his trolling self, starting the performance with shots at his 101 remixes of “Old Town Road”! Funny, he performed “Panini” instead
Miley Cyrus performance of her new song, “Slide Away” was filmed in black and white and yeah we shed a tear or two knowing she was singing about her ex, Liam Hemsworth.
Throwback music y’all!! Queen Latifah, Redman, Naughty By Nature & Wyclef Jean went crazy and took us back in time!!!
Did they??? Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello have been fueling dating rumours for so long!! During the performance of “Senorita”, they almost kissed!!!!!!!!!!
Lizzo performed her hit songs “Truth Hurts” & “Good As Hell” and lol, she had a huge butt wiggling behind her the whole time!!
Jonas Brothers performed “Sucker” and “Only Human” and y’all!!
Rosalía and Ozuna Performed “A Ningun Hombre”, “Yo x Ti, Tu x Mi,” & “Aute Cuture” and the vocals!! Whew!! We didn’t understand a word but we enjoyed it so much!!
H.E.R’s performance of “Anti” was amazing!!!
Normani has been making all the waves with her Motivation video and she brought that same vibe on stage for her performance of “Motivation”
Big Sean and A$ap Ferg performed their new song “Berzerk” which was released hours before the show!! Wild move huh!
Bad Bunny is here to stay!! He and J Balvin performed their song, “Que Pretendes” on a very trippy set!!!!
