1 Person Killed At Okponglo After Scary Public Shootout Between The Police And Armed Robbers Today

Today, residents of Okponglo in Accra experienced a Hollywood style police versus armed robbers shootout.

According to a tweet by sports journalist, Thierry Nyann, there was a massive shooting incident involving armed robbers and the police at Okponglo this afternoon.

In an attempt to arrest the armed robbers, the police had mounted a fierce chase. However, in their haste to also run away from the police, the armed robbers knocked down a hawker who died instantly.

“Guns and bullets spreading on the streets. This is terrible” the journalist wrote.
