Today, Becca and her husband, Dr Oluwatobi Sanni-Daniel are celebrating 1 year of marriage after dating for almost three years and knowing each other for about 11 years.
There’s no doubt that besides marriage, these two have a really strong friendship going on.
A year ago today, Becca and her Nigerian husband tied the knot and officially welcomed the world to witness what is their extraordinary love story.
The two are never shy of being all lovey-dovey on social media.
Though to most of us, the wedding and even the existence of “Becca’s fiance” and let alone a relationship between Becca and Dr Sanni-Daniel came to us as a surprise, these two go back to almost a decade when they got married.

Now, celebrating their first wedding anniversary and becoming first-time parents, it’s no doubt that they have a long future ahead of them.
In an emotional post on Instagram today to mark their anniversary, Becca recounts that moment in New York in 2015 when Dr Sanni-Daniel was bold enough to make his intentions clear to Becca.
“In 2015 after knowing you 7 years you took my hands at Central Park, New York looked right into my eyes and said… “Becca I know this may sound funny but given the chance, I do not want to date you, I want to marry you,” Becca wrote on Instagram.
“I laughed in awe, it was flattering and weird at the same time. I remember blushing and still thinking hmmm this man has so much confidence,” she added.
However, beyond that audacious night in New York, Becca says Dr Sanni-Daniel became her comforter then he became her confidant which turned them into became best friends who became gossip partners.
From there, it was a clear route to becoming lovers which ended in them saying”Yes I Do” to each other, exactly one year ago today.
“Oh! how I wish the whole world would know the sort of man you are, so well brought up, loving, caring, intelligent, a problem solver and oh my man is a SHARK!,” she wrote on Instagram.

“My husband, people may look at us and may or may not be happy for us but who cares after-all, the institution of marriage is about the happiness of the two of us and we are the only ones who can make this work aside from the Almighty God,” Becca told her husband.

Today, Becca is thankful for her husband who gave her “the most intelligent and beautiful baby girl in the world.”
