Dear Fresher! Here Is A List Of The Halls And Hostels On Legon Campus.

In every situation, there are two things involved. Just like in UG there are two kinds of people! The main campus and the diaspora people. Each depending on where your room is lol.

• The Traditional Halls (Main Campus)
  

Found on the University of Ghana Main Campus and are very close to the various lecture halls. They are:

• COMMONWEALTH HALL

Directions: The Vandal City can be found at end of the road from the main entrance of the University. It’s the only all-male Hall on campus.

• AKUAFO HALL

Directions: Akuafo Hall is a mixed Hall and can be found opposite the Earth Science Department. They have 4 annexes. Annex A to Annex D.

• LEGON HALL

Directions: It is located in the centre of the school close to the biggest library in West Africa, the Balme Library. It is also a mixed hall with a strong bond between the males and females. They have 3 annexes.

• VOLTA HALL

Directions: It is the only all-female hall on campus known for their discipline and neatness. The hall is located opposite the Modern Languages Department and in front of Commonwealth Hall.

• MENSAH SARBAH HALL

Directions: Located behind Central Cafeteria. They are also known as the OKPOMATES. They have 4 annexes. Annex A to Annex D.

• JUBILEE HALL

Directions: Jubilee can be found at the southern part of the main campus, directly opposite the University Mosque.

• INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS HALL (ISH) 1&2

Directions: Can be found right beside jubilee hall. Reserved for international students.

• DIASPORA HALLS

Directions: The Diaspora Halls are four separate buildings adjacent to each other. Located near the Noguchi Memorial Center and the University of Ghana Medical centre.  Arranged in order of position, the first building is Hilla Limann Hall, the second is Alexander Kwapong Hall, followed by Elizabeth Frances Sey Hall and lastly Jean Aka Nelson Hall.

HOSTELS

• PENT HOSTEL

Directions: There is New Pent (Block A to Block C) and Old pent (Addis Ababa, Dar Es Salaam, Kampala, Nairobi) Found behind The School Of Engineering.

• BANI HOSTEL

Directions: Found directly opposite the Presbyterian Senior High(PRESEC)

• EVANDY HOSTEL

Directions: Located next to Bani Hostel and before TF Hostel.

• TOPP NELSON YANKAH HALL

Directions: Found on the Atomic-Haatso road. Big white building on your left.

If you’re lost, you could ask anyone on campus but be sure to identify if the person is a fresher or continuing student, it’s easy to do so. There’s nothing worse than a blind man leading another blind man. Have a good stay on campus.
