
A student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science And Technology, Nicolas Acheampong is among four young Ghanaians who are representing the country at the 2019 Powerlifting Championship.
The event, which is being held in Canada, will see strong people from across the globe converge in Canada in the hopes of obtaining powerlifting glory.
The four Ghanaians who are representing the country are Solomon Amuzu, 23, Derek Boadu Amoakwao, 23, Boadu Kwabena Owusu, 23 and Nicolas Acheampong, 21.
Solomon and Derek are competing in the 93KG category, Kwabena Owusu will compete in the 105KG category while Nicolas, the KNUST will be competing in the 120KG category.
Nicolas is a second-year Political Studies student who competed in KNUST strongest and was the runner up at KNUST hostels strongest.
Besides Nicolas, the other 3 guys are also KNUST alumni.
The four Ghanaians will start their championship journey on the 26th of August and end on 31st August 2019.
