Samuel L Jackson Visits Ghanaian Sculptor, Kwame Akoto-Bamfo’s “Ancestor Project”

Samuel L Jackson who is currently in Ghana to shoot a documentary on slavery visited Kwame Akoto-Bamfo’s Ancestor Project.

Kwame Akoto-Bamfo is a Ghanaian sculptor, who is using his skills to create what he calls the Ancestor Project – where he makes portraits of Africans who were imprisoned, kidnapped or forced into slavery.

Kwame Akoto-Bamfo, in an interview with the BBC, stated that “he’s trying to portray what our ancestors went through, by trying to immerse in the enslavement experience… all cut across 400 years”.

Kwame Akoto-Bamfo had some interaction with Samuel L Jackson, and since Samuel L Jackson is in Ghana to shoot a documentary on slavery, we guess Kwame Akoto-Bamfo’s work on slavery might be featured in the documentary titled Enslaved.
