It’s really easy to hide your flaws behind makeup but the truth is, you need to get comfortable with your own skin.
It’s your face, whether you like it or not and what you can do is to try and make it better. The first thing you need to do is to stop wearing makeup.
You don’t want to but that’s the truth. You cannot be applying makeup every single day for the rest of your life.
Applying Foundation, powder, blush and bronzer might feel and look nice, but underneath the surface, these tiny makeup particles accumulate in our pores with each wear.
Along with all the air pollutants our skin is exposed to each day, dirt builds up, causing pores to become clogged and appear enlarged over time.
Although there’s nothing you can do to actually change the size of your pores, going makeup-free (and regular facial cleansing) minimizes buildup inside the pores, making them appear smaller and giving your complexion a smoother finish.
Generally, less makeup means fewer pimples. This is because the more the makeup applied, the more the toxins we put on our faces – not to mention all the gross stuff that builds up on the makeup brushes that we know we’re not cleaning on a regular basis like we’re supposed to.
To end, when you don’t clean your face before you sleep, the natural process of shedding dead surface cells from the skin is impeded so at least for 3 days in a week, let your skin breathe!
