The Matic music club, founded by the well-known musician, Trigmatic, is an after-school club for kids to grow their love for music and to help in their mental development.

Each club has a maximum of 50 students with a team of 5 tutors. Members of the club get access to musical instruments, music-related reading materials, laptops and more to help develop their talent and interest in music.

Last year, the Matic music club hosted a successful music seminar “Music Speaks” which went on to educate the youth on “Music and its Role in Building the Next Generation”. A number of topics were discussed in detail including using new media in music and Music as a tourism tool among others.

Trigmatic, Aka Blay and resource persons from the Global Shapers, Spain came together to discuss the theme at Impact Hub Accra on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.

This year, from the 17th of June to the 28th,  Dr Meghan Bennett, assistant professor of Flute Performance and Woodwind Area Coordinator from the School of Arts Northern Kentucky University will be in Ghana, visiting the Matic Music clubs and educating the kids on music and other related topics.
