On the 14th of June 2019, the Women Advocacy Network (WAN) together with Abdul Hakeem Mahama national service personnel and student activist of the University of Energy and Natural Resources visited Nkrankrom Methodist School within the Sunyani East Municipality to make some donations.
They arrived to find the school in a deplorable state with classes taking place underneath an unstable shed.Mr. Mahama recalled an incident where a class session was interrupted by rain.
In a press release issued by Mr Mahama and WAN, they beseeched the government to commission the newly completed classroom block which is now vacant.
He added that it was important to create a balanced system for young ones living in underdeveloped communities.
