On the day one of the competition, which is known as the preliminary stages, Apam Senior High School and Chemu Senior High School booked their place in the one-eighth stage of the competition by sending four other senior high schools home.

In two contests that were held simultaneously, Apam won one with 62 points while Chemu SHS won the other with 53 points.

Apam competed against fellow Central Region school Winneba and Western Region’s Daboase Senior High Technical School which had 21 and 5 points, respectively.

Meanwhile, Chemu SHS competed against two schools of the Volta Region – EPC Mawuko Girls’ SHS which had 25pts and St, Mary’s Sem/SHS, Lolobi which had 22pts.

Best of luck next year to the four evicted schools.
