It’s that time of the year again when young boys and girls finish writing an exam that would shape their future forever.
As it has become customary, when one is done writing such life changing exams, one goes out to blow out some steam.
The perfect excuse is that “it’s done, the work has been done, it’s time to party”.
However, like every year, the jubilants take the partying to the extreme.
In the past, some destroy school properties others just hit every dance floor they can find in the city and just boogie down till there’s little energy left.
While others will get drunk, some might even break their virginity or rekindle their love for sex after going on a one month break to prepare for the exam.
Well, whatever this year’s graduating class at the Junior High School choose to do to celebrate their big moment, the Ghana Police Service is warning them to “celebrate with caution.”
“It has been observed from previous years that some JHS graduates indulge in drug and alcohol abuse and other acts that lead to crimes and injuries, and in some cases death at the beaches among others,” the Ghana Police Service wrote after congratulating them in a statement.
“Therefore, the Police Administration is cautioning them not to over indulge. Beach revellers, night club patrons and such others among them are to be careful to avoid injuries and breaching the law,” the police continued and even proceeded to advise parents to keep an eye on their children.
From the parents, the police also moved to hotels, pubs and drinking bars, warning them “not to allow under age children to patronize their products and services.
