Today, we told y’all that the two Canadian girls who were kidnapped in Kumasi have been rescued.
The girls were rescued in the early hours of Wednesday morning (today).
According to the Deputy Minister of Information Pius Hadzide, the operation that led to the rescue of the girls was led by the Ghana National Security Operatives.
The rescue also led to the arrest of two individuals suspected to be members of the group who kidnapped the foreign nationals at the Golf Club.
Though this was a Ghanaian led operation, Canadian officials also helped and provided key resources that led to the rescue of the women who are 19 and 20 years old.
“Possibly the resources the Canadian experts brought may also play a huge role in the rescue of their nationals,” Col. Festus Aboagye (Rtd), a Security consultant told 3FM in an interview this morning.
We just hope that the security agency will maintain that same energy to find the missing Takoradi girls.
