Ghana’s Representative At The 2019 Scripps National Spelling Bee, Kwabena Adu Darko-Asare Visits Ghana’s Embassy In U.S.A


Ghana’s 2019 Spelling Bee Champion, Kwabena Adu Darko-Asare paid a visit to Ghana’s Embassy In Washington DC, U.S.A where he met the ambassador, His Excellency Dr Barfuor Adjei-Barwuah.

Dr Barfuor Adjei-Barwuah expressed his highest gratitude to the Spelling Bee Champion for his service to the nation and also encouraged him to maintain the passion he has for Ghana.

Kwabena Adu Darko-Asare represented Ghana at the 2019 Scripps National Spelling Bee in the U.S which ended with eight co-champions after twenty rounds of the contest.

Kwabena could not make it to the next stage of the competition because he lost points in the preliminary test of the competition even though he spelt correctly all his onstage words.

Kwabena Adu Darko-Asare is a student of DPS International Ghana. His trip to the US to participate in the 2019 Scripps National Spelling Bee championship was sponsored by the Young Educators Foundation.
