VGMA Voters Are Asking For Their Money Back After The VGMA Board Nullified Two Categories

Today, the board of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards made a rather bold decision.

Following the chaos which occurred between team Stonebwoy and team Shatta Wale at the 2019 VGMA, the board has decided to ban the two musicians indefinitely.

That’s not all… both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were declared as winners of four awards that night, now the board has stripped them off those awards too.

Shatta Wale won Highlife song of the year and the reggae/dancehall song of the year, while Stonebwoy won the reggae/dancehall artiste of the year and best collaboration of the year – now they have none.

Also, the two other unannounced categories – song of the year and artiste of the year – have been nullified by the board because either both or one was won by either Shatta Wale or Stonebwoy.

Now, especially for the song of the year category which is decided on 100 per cent public voting, people are asking whether their money will be refunded.

The people who voted for their favourite song to win the award have taken to social media asking whether their money will be returned now that the category has been nullified and no winner has been announced.
