Once again, we are discussing the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, but it’s not for positive reasons.
Today, the board of the VGMA held a press conference to announce that Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have been banned indefinitely from the awards and that they won’t be considered for future awards.
Also, they asked that the two dancehall musicians return the awards they won last Saturday because they have been stripped off the awards.
That’s not all, they also nullified the two categories they didn’t announce last Saturday which were the Song of the year and the artiste of the year.
Last Monday, Kwame Sefa Kayi, who was a co-host of the event, disclosed that Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have won one each of the remaining awards.
As a result, fans of the two musicians have been angered by the VGMA board’s decision not to announce who won the two remaining awards.
They have taken to social media to request refunds of the money they spent in voting for the two musicians.
According to them, if CharterHouse is going to nullify that category, then they must as well return the money people spent in voting for those categories.
However, according to the PRO of CharterHouse George Quaye, voters shouldn’t expect any refunds.
He told Kuulpeeps.com that it is unlikely the people who voted in those two categories will be given refunds.
Sorry guys… just in case you adjusted your budget expecting a refund… it’s time to let go and pretend your money is missing.
