Kofi Kingston Joins UNICEF Ghana To Visit UNICEF-Supported Programmes In Accra

Kofi Kingston, today joined UNICEF Ghana to visit UNICEF-supported programmes in Accra to learn more about the situation of children in Ghana and advocate for the rights of children to be fulfilled.

After his arrival yesterday, he visited the Jubilee House to meet President Nana Akufo-Addo.

The WWE Champion together with the UNICEF Ghana team visited the Taifa Polyclinic in Accra to observe how UNICEF supports the health sector in ensuring that children are well-nourished and protected from vaccine-preventable diseases.

At the Polyclinic, Kofi Kingston presented birth certificates to three children and congratulated parents and caregivers for ensuring that their children have an identity.

Kofi Kingston and the UNICEF Ghana team later visited the Taifa Community School. At the school, he had a reading and listening session with the pupils.

Kofi also spent time with the kindergarten pupils of the school. “Study hard and dream big. You can make it,” Kofi Kingston adviced the kindergarten pupils.

Other activities he’s to embark on:

Kofi Kingston will embark on a four-day visit from Thursday, 30th May 2019 to Sunday, 2nd June 2019.

Kofi Kingston will also be at the Manhyia Palace to pay homage to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Other activities which Kofi will undertake include a Children’s Rally, a visit to Tourist Sites and places like the Lake Bosomtwe, the Christianborg Castle, Bonwire and Ntonso, a visit to the Mother and Baby Unit at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and  He will also visit Ejisu and Atwiwma Techiman which are his parental and maternal hometowns respectively.
