Charterhouse, the organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards have issued a press statement condemning the unruly behaviour at VGMA20.
Charterhouse in the statement apologised to all the stakeholders that were involved in the organisation of the event.
The event organisers further stated that the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has terms and conditions that guide its conduct and artists who enter their works for nominations are bound by these terms and conditions.
“These terms and conditions which come with punitive measures when flouted have been designed to protect the scheme and ensure that it is neither impugned nor dragged into any sort of dispute,” they said in the statement.
Charterhouse further added that they have taken serious exception to the incident that happened at VGMA20 and thus would ensure that the needed sanctions are applied.
The event organisers also said that it will hold a press conference later in the week to address the incidence at the event, including measures agreed to in consultation with the board and other affiliates of the scheme.
