Despite haters still mocking her, others expressing concerns for her safety and others also just looking for just anything to water down the relevance of her work with regards to her new appointment, superwoman Charlotte Osei is pressing on.

Yesterday she met the other commission members who were also appointed to serve on the United Nations International Elections Commission To Afghanistan.

Charlotte Osei was named as an external commissioner for the Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) of Afghanistan for the 2019 elections pursuant to Paragraph 5 of article 28 of Afghanistan’s election law, by the President of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani.

The commission is tasked to defend the rights of voters and candidates through the handling of electoral protests and complaints, electoral fraud, and ultimately the maintenance of electoral justice.

They will not be responsible for actually organizing the elections in Afghanistan, that is the job of Afghanistan’s own Electoral Commission called the Independent Election Commission (IEC) which administers and supervises all types of elections and referenda envisaged in the Constitution.
