
Social media was buzzing with praises and hails for the National Chief Imam of Ghana, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu for worshipping with Christians at the Christ The King Parish in Accra on Easter Sunday.
The Chief Imam’s visit to the Christ The King Parish is part of his 100th birthday celebration.
Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu and his entourage were welcomed to the church by the presiding priest, Rev. Father Andrew Campbell.
Many described the Chief Imam’s visit to the church as an indication of a peaceful co-existence between the leaders of the Islam community and the leaders of the Christian community, as such, the followers must learn from them.
Some Ghanaian personalities also weighed into the conversation and hailed the Chief Imam for such a bold step.
Legendary Ghanaian comedian, KSM, Shatta Wale, Edem, The British High Commissioner to Ghana, Iain Walker and some other influential Ghanaians praised Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu for worshipping with Christians on Easter Sunday.
