UG: Electoral Commission To Restart Vetting Process As Trial Was Ruled Disqualified Candidates.

Over the past weeks, the UGSRC Election processes have seen a lot of injunctions, Recently, after the vetting was conducted and some candidates were disqualified, IA with Banahene and Sarbah Andam filed a suit before the judicial borad and an injunction was placed on the electoral process until Monday 9th of April 2019, when the final hearing was held at the SRC Union building. The number of people who attended the hearing was massively appaling.

In a verdict given by the SRC Judicial board, the EC has been directed to restart the vetting process but this time, the EC is not supposed to set any pass mark. Hence, the vetting will only be a mere formality.

It is obvious that by the Verdict given by the judicial board, all aspirants who have the basic requirement of a 3.0 CGPA will be allowed to run for this year’s election which is scheduled for Friday, 10th April.
