The University of Cape Coast has officially inaugurated its Eye Clinic. The new state of the art clinic will provide eye care services not just to the university community but the Cape Coast Metropolis at large.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ghartey Ampiah indicated that the university is committed to supporting efforts geared towards reducing the increasing cases of visual impairment. He said the inauguration of the eye clinic is a step towards realizing this vision and described it as a dream come true.Provost of the College of Health and Allied Sciences, Prof Johnson Nyarko- Boampong said the facility, aside providing quality eye care to the university community and the Cape Coast metropolis as a whole, will also serve as a training ground for students of the Department of Optometry and Vision Science.
