Social Media To The Rescue: Little Doris Needs GHC18,000 For An Eye Surgery. Here’s How You Can Donate

Guys! Little Doris needs your help!

Doris has been diagnosed with cancer which has spread into her brain because the infection with her eyes wasn’t treated early. She is currently at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital receiving treatment.

It began as pain in the eyes and has now become a full-blown unfathomable infection.

Below is a video of little Doris and her mom. (viewers discretion is advised):

The family went from Aflao Hospital to Ho Regional Hospital and were referred to KorleBu Teaching Hospital. They were charged GHC18,000 ($3,600) for the surgery but they had to return to their village of Exi in the Volta Region because they were unable to come up with the money.

Naomi Arthur, a nursing officer and a lecturer at the Ho Nursing Training college who operates the  Zena Foundation (Non Profit) found the child and has been reaching out to the public for support with none forthcoming.

Film Maker Leila Djansi and entrepreneur, Confidence Haugen have been leading the campaign to raise funds for Doris’ surgery.
