After all the back and forth, Shatta Wale and Charter House have finally resolved the misunderstanding between them.
Shatta Wale posted a photo of himself and the CEO of Charter House, Mrs Theresa Ayoade on Instagram.
He wrote: “Big things about to happen. Thank you madam Theresa C.E.O of Charter House Ghana!! VGMA 20years celebration and I am happy to be part of it …”
The bad blood between Charter House and Shatta Wale which have been resolved now dates back to the 2013 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards when Shatta Wale went berserk because he lost the “Dancehall Song of the Year Award” to the “Too Much” hitmaker Kaakie. Shatta Wale went ahead to make a diss song, “Letter To Charter House” directed at the organisers.
A year later, Shatta Wale was nominated for and won the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Artiste of the Year. But that wasn’t the end of the issue.
Shatta Wale again released another diss track directed at Charter House and also released a series of videos on social media attacking the CEO of Charter House because he allegedly demanded an outrageous amount of money to perform at the awards ceremony which Charter House wasn’t willing to pay.
Later in 2014, the Charter House sued Shatta Wale GHC10 million for defamation. The case has been in court since then but it looks like things have been resolved now.
Great to see both brands working together now!
