Brace yourselves people… psyche yourselves… the Dumsor will be here till March 19.
At least, that’s according to this letter from GRIDCo and addressed to Samuel Odame, the Director of Operations at Power Distribution Service (PDS), the new managers of the Electricity Company of Ghana, ECG and is sighted by Kuulpeeps.com.
According to the letter which was dated March 14 and signed by Ing. John Owusu-Afriyie the Director of Engineering Projects at GRIDCo, due to the construction of the Pokuase Interchange, by the Department of Urban Roads, there is the need to divert 330KV Aboadze-Volta transmission line at Pokuase.
“We note that the work was originally planned to be completed by March 14, 2019. However, due to the challenges encountered by the contractor during the execution of the work, it cannot be completed as planned.
Ing. Owusu-Afriyie said they hope they will complete the work by March 19, Tuesday.
In the letter, GRIDCo asked PDS to extend the outage on affected areas to March 19, advising that “the outage should be from 8:00hrs to 18:00hrs (6 PM) each day over the period.”
