Google Scares Ghanaians As The Cedi Stood At GHC22.72 To $1 On The Search Engine

Google may have played a huge prank on Ghanaians yesterday.

One of the biggest talking points in recent weeks in the country has been about how poor the Cedi has been doing against the US dollar.

Due to the rampant fall of the Cedi against the US dollar most Ghanaians from time to time check on the Cedi’s performance on Google.

Ghanaians, however, had the biggest scare of their life when they checked the performance of the Cedi on Google today. The Cedi was Ghc22.72 to $1 at about 4:05 pm today.

But it seemed Google had a little glitch and the information above wasn’t correct. When we later checked, the Cedi was Ghc5.56 to $1.

The Finance Minister has, however, promised to stabilise the Cedi in two weeks.

We hope Google never scares us like this anymore!
