The Inspire Conference: The Coming African Renaissance was a conference organized by The Josiah Leadership Movement (J-FORCE).

It was Phase 3 of a series of events leading up to the “We Are The Change Conference” in July.

The event started with the Ashesi Dance Crew doing a rendition of African sounds mixed with excerpts from Patrick Awuah’s TED Talk and the J-FORCE President’s, Eric Kwapong Jr., description of J-FORCE.

The event was divided into 6 speakers representing all the driving factors of an African Renaissance (or Rebirth): Faith, Technology, Entrepreneurship, Culture, Music, and Citizenship.

Some of the speakers were;

Ashesi’s own Dr Korsah speaking on Technology, Forbes Africa 30 U 30

John Armah, The Co-Founder of Afrochella

Award-winning Gospel artist Cwesi Oteng,

Ashesi alumni and Miss Universe Ghana 2018 Akpene Diana Hoggar

After each speech, delegates could ask questions from their seats using tabled microphones. There were also discussions led by business leaders from the community and the artist Medici. The goal of the conference is to have a movement of young people who pursue the betterment of Africa starting with Ghanaian youth.
