University Of Ghana Lecturer, Professor Eric Danquah Appointed African Representative On The Maize Genetics Executive Committee

Eric Danquah, a professor at the University of Ghana has been appointed to serve as Africa’s representative on the Maize Genetics Executive Committee.

He will be serving a two-year term on the committee.

The Maize Genetics Executive Committee (MaizeGDB) is a community-oriented, long-term, federally funded informatics service to researchers focused on the crop plant and model organism Zea mays.

Eric Danquah made this announcement on Twitter and also added that he is “looking forward to strategic partnerships to take maize Improvement in SSA to the next level.”

Professor Eric Danquah is a founding director at the West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement and Director at the BiotechnoloCentre, at University of Ghana, Legon.
