Nana Akufo-Addo Pays Tribute To J.B. Danqauh But Ghanaians On Twitter Think Otherwise

On This Day 54 years ago, a member of the famous Big Six, J.B. Danquah died in detention at the Nsawam Prisons.

To celebrate him on the day of his passing, President Nana Akufo-Addo took to Twitter to pay a tribute to his uncle, J.B. Danquah.

He wrote:

Well written tribute by the President, but most people on Twitter did not agree with him.

Most of them were of the view that there are more important things which he should be addressing instead of paying tribute to J.B. Danquah.

Some were also of the view that nothing has really changed after 54 years. The prisons are still not in good conditions and it’s better for the president to see to those issues rather than paying tribute to his deceased uncle.

Here are the reactions to the president’s tweets:

What do you also make of the president’s tribute to J.B. Danquah?
