Today, quite a number of people will have a lot of butterflies in their tummy.
This is in anticipation for the deluge of public interest that will follow them after the airing of the Anas Aremeyaw Anas latest investigative work called “Galamsey Fraud”.
In Galamsey Fraud, Anas and his team turn their attention to the government’s fight on illegal mining and how some officials who were supposed to be implementing government policies on the ban of small scale mining, allegedly took bribes to circumvent government’s efforts.
Illegal mining has damaged our water bodies, farmlands among others and there has been a huge public outcry on the government to put a stop to the menace.
In the government’s response, a ban was placed on small scale mining, and a task force was set up to implement it.
According to Anas Aremeyaw Anas, through his latest investigative work called Galamsey Fraud, those who were put in charge were fraudulent people who colluded and took bribes for their personal gain against the interest of the country.
His new documentary airs today on selected television stations.
If you thought this was shocking then how about the fact that Kennedy Agyapong’s Net 2 TV is working with Anas on this one and it will be airing the documentary today.
Kennedy Agyapong launched a blazing attack on Anas and his team when details about Anas’ Number 12 work came out.
Number 12, was an investigative work into the corrupt officials who run football in Ghana and Africa.
One of the major casualties of Number 12 is Kwesi Nyantakyi, who was fired from FIFA, CAF and the GFA for allegedly taking a bribe and colluding with “foreign investors” to bribe top Ghanaian government officials including President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia.
Since the premiering of Number 12, Kennedy Agyapong has been attacking Anas and even he premiered his own documentary called “Who Watches the Watchman”, an expose on Anas and his team.
Weeks ago when Ahmed Suale, one of Anas’ team members was fatal shot at Madina, Kennedy Agyapong became a suspect.
It is perhaps, surprising that for Anas’ work into Galamsey Fraud, the television station owned by Kennedy Agyapong which was used chastise the journalist will be airing it.
We can’t wait to watch “Galamsey Fraud” today!
