#Emergers2019: The Bio Of Ronald Banful, Now Known As Guilty Beatz

Guilty made the beat!!!

You’ve definitely heard this before right??

Yeah I’m also the genius behind the hit song Akwaaba.

My real name is Ronald Banful. I was born in Italy and I came to Ghana at the age of 7. I attended Star basic, went to Saps School in Teshie then I went to Corpus Christi and finally went to the University of Ghana to study Social work.

Before you guys start asking why I have swayed from my degree…lol I’m doing the same thing charley, giving music to the people, giving to society. LOL.

I’ve been doing music for the longest time and I’d say when I started, Timberland and Ryan Leslie influenced me a lot. Ryan Leslie especially because I think we have the same mind. Right now, I do more of raw music, more African sounds, more internationally sounding music that people can relate to.

Aside from Mr Eazi, I’ve worked with Efya, Stonebwoy, Wizkid, Jazzy Jagz, Sarkodie, Kidi, King Promise, Kwesi Arthur and others and oh my hit song “Akwaaba” got me two awards at the 2018 AFRIMMA Awards: “Best African Collaboration” and “Song of the Year”.

At the moment, some artistes I really want to work with are Shatta Wale, Samini and Kwami Eugene. I’m looking to do more Nigerian collaborations tho. East Africa, North Africa collaborations too are very important for me too cos I feel that’s what African music needs.

So yeah…lemme sign out again…
