President Nana Akufo-Addo announced that he has chosen Dambai as the capital of the Oti Region.
The president made this announcement during the presentation of the constitutional instrument for the creation of the new region at the Jubilee House.

Earlier today, the president announced Sefwi Wiawso as the capital of the Western North Region.

The announcement of Dambai as the capital of the Oti Region and the presentation of the constitutional instrument backing the creation completes the presentation of constitutional instruments for all six newly created regions.
The Oti Region will also receive GHC 20 million for a smooth take off.
