It’s 2019 and still, social media has no chill.
People are still being mean and they are dragging people all over the timeline.
Perhaps, the former President, John Dramani Mahama meant no harm but some social media users were not ready for the former President, who is campaigning for a bid to lead the opposition NDC into 2020 general election, to hold a meeting to brief members of the diplomatic corps.
A diplomatic corps is a group of ambassadors and high commissioners who are representing their own governments in the country.
Yesterday, the former President met and briefed the diplomatic corps and shared with them his position on the violence-marred Ayawaso Wougon Constituency by-election.
According to the former President, the violence was perpetrated by “hoodlums of the New Patriotic Party.”
“The briefing traced the history of the NPP’s introduction of the vigilante groups, their training and the dangerous decision to arm the hoodlums and also clothe them as supposed national security operatives,” he said on Instagram.
“The diplomats were shown multiple videos of the barbaric attacks, gun violence, unrepentant admissions of responsibility by a Minister of State at the Presidency, Bryan Acheampong and videos of previous outings of the NPP government vigilante groups, Delta and Invincible Forces,” he said.
Basically, what the former President did was to invite a number of ambassadors and paint the NPP black. He and the NDC are the angels and the NPP is the devil.
However, some people on social media were not here for this… they moved to the former president and dragged him for his double standards and seeming move to wash our dirty linen in the public.”

Your hypocrisy coupled with mischievous attempt to destabilize our national development is being fuelled by you, we act as if we never read history. The moment you entered the American embassy i figured trouble is about zooming in. Capitalising on this issue shows your wickness.

Meanwhile, like any other political debate, there were others who also thought the former President made a good move.
You cannot be truer. It was black Thursday worth remembering every year. Please let's mark it as the day our democracy and freedom were jointly attached by rogue state sponsored hudlums. Nana is a big disappointed. Please hurry up and occupy the space. He's finished
