Social Media To The Rescue: Friends Raise Funds For Old Student Of Mfantsipim School To Undergo Two Successful Surgeries

Social media came through once again guys…

A young gentleman known as Cartoon on Twitter has undergone 2 surgeries successfully because thanks to social media.

Cartoon is an old student of the Mfantsipim School (MOBA 18), and according to the information on Twitter he was involved in a fatal accident last year and had to undergo surgery to be saved. His father had passed away so it was difficult to raise the money needed for his surgery.

Cartoon’s mates, however, took it upon themselves to raise an amount of GHC 1,000 or more to support. The news was posted and shared widely on Twitter for friends and others to contribute for his surgery.

And the initiative taken by Cartoon’s mates to raise funds on social media was an excellent one. They were able to get the money to help pay for Cartoon’s surgery.

Cartoon survived two surgeries and also regained his memory according to his tweet: “I made it guys, survived two surgeries. How I regained my memory, it still dey conf the doctors. We won”

“Not by my own strength, it has been God all this while. Thank you Lord Jesus for my life” he added.
