Our fave Ghanaian winter Olympian is out there living up the responsibilities that come with championing the hope of a billion.
Akwasi Frimpong who recently ended in the top 20 position of the Skeleton Intercontinental Cup (ICC) flew to Alkmaar in the Netherlands led a TEDx session.
During his TEDx Alkmaar session, Akwasi spoke about his own upbringing, how he found his way into Skeleton (a sports that demands the existence of snow) though he comes from a sub sharan country with temperatures soaring above 40 degrees sometimes.
According to Akwasi, his Hope of a Billion campaign is aimed at motivating African children and making them understand that they can be whomever they want to be even if geography and nature say no.
Up up you go, Akwasi!!
