Member Of Congress Of United States Asks The U.S. State Department For Intelligence Support To Investigate The Murder Of Ahmed Hussein-Suale


Henry C. “Hank” Johnson, Jr., a member of Congress of the United States House of Representatives, in a letter written to the Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo has asked for U.S. diplomatic, law enforcement and intelligence support for an investigation into the murder of investigative journalist Ahmed Hussein-Suale, who was shot to death at Madina on January 16, 2019.

The Member of Congress in his letter to the Secretary of state also urged the application of travel, banking, and other applicable sanctions targeting Kennedy Agyapong MP who urged violence against Ahmed prior to his murder.

Henry C. “Hank” Johnson, Jr., in the letter briefed the Secretary of State on who Ahmed Hussein Suale was and the activities he undertook as an undercover journalist exposing the corruption in Ghana Football, when he worked on the #Number12 Expose.

Hank also briefed the Secretary of State of how Ahmed was killed.

Hank, however, requested the U.S. State Department to take the following actions:

  1. Assess the potential scope of U.S. diplomatic, law enforcement, and intelligence support for the Government of Ghana’s investigation support via the Office of the Legal Attache at the U.S. Embassy.
  2. Conduct an independent assessment of the murder and the qaulity and scope of the Ghanaian government’s investigation; and
  3. Determine what sanctions may be levied against Kennedy Agyapong MP, including a ban on travel to the U.S., a ban on across to the U.S. banking system for Mr Agyapong and his businesses, and any other appropriate and applicable sanctions.
