Bhim! Bhim! Bhim! Bhim!
Yaaaaaassss as you can tell, we are so excited to tell you all about the Bhim concert which happened last Friday at the Fantasy Dome here in Accra.
This year’s concert was dubbed ‘Fill the Dome’ and it generated a lot of expectations and hype among fans of the dancehall artiste and dancehall lovers in general. Shatta fans were also anxious to see whether bhimnation could actually “Fill the Dome” as much as they did during the Reign album launch.
No, the president, Nana Akufo-Addo, didn’t appear at the concert but the show was worth every single penny!
Underground artistes started the show before the “big shots” came to do their thing on the stage. When Stonebwoy, took the stage, there was almost a stampede as everyone was rushing to come forward to see and experience him. His fans kept hailing him as their “hero” and could not have enough of the music icon. Talk about loyal fans!
Artistes like VVIP, Feli Nuna, Sista Afia, KiDi, Patapizzy, Trigmatic, Tinny, Medikal, Joey B, Kwesi Arthur, as well as Sarkodie and Samini came to rock the stage. Yeeeesss you missed out!
When Sista Afia performed her hit song “Jeje”, she agitated the loyal Bhim Nation fans who attacked the songstress for raising the song she made with an ‘enemy’ , Shatta Wale. They threw bottles and other objects at her until she stopped performing that particular music.
Sista Afia assured Stonebwoy’s fans that “I am only here to support Bhim Nation. This is no beefing. I love Stonebwoy personally. I am here to do my thing. This is no Stonebwoy-Shatta Wale beefing. One love for Ghana music.” She then swiftly redeemed herself with her ‘Slay Queen’ jam to which the crowd cheered and sang along in approval.
Morgan Heritage did not disappoint the excited fans who waited all night to watch them perform, although they stayed on for a few minutes.
The surprise act for the night was when renowned footballers, Emmanuel Adebayor, and Asamoah Gyan joined Stonebwoy on stage, entertaining music lovers amidst cheers.
The show ended with Bhim Nation CEO singing his ‘Higher’ hit while showing gratitude to his manager, Blakk Cedi for his support over the past years.
