A one-year-old who was dropped on a railway moments before a train passed through shockingly survived!
A shocking video shows a baby being dropped on a railway just seconds before a train rolled over her in the city of Mathura in India. The child, who has been identified as Sahiba, was dropped a centimetre away from the wheels of a Samta Express train as the four coaches almost claimed her life.
Sonu, her father, explained the terrifying incident to Times of India:
“We were alighting from the train when the signal went green. Since the train was heavily crowded, my wife Ranu, who was holding Sahiba in arms got shoved off from unknown passenger and our daughter fell on tracks. Before we could raise alarm, four coaches of the train passed over her, but she survived without a scratch.”
Sonu, his wife, and two daughters came aboard the train when he realized that someone had stolen his wallet with his money and tickets. The family then decided to exit at the next stop.
“Without money and ticket there was no sense to travel in train, hence I decided to lodge a complaint and therefore attempted to alight from the train,” Sonu explained.
C B Prasad, Station house officer of Mathura junction railway protection force said that the “toddler survived without any injury.”
“After the incident, the family was taken to a peaceful area and was given time to recover from the incident.”
