Now the shutdown of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is set to take on an international and royal significance.
Remember we told y’all that the heir to the British Throne and the son of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales and his wife, The Duchess of Cornwall, are due to pay a royal visit to Ghana on 2nd November.
The royal couple will be visiting our country as part of a three-nation tour of West Africa. Before coming to Ghana, the royal couple will visit The Gambia and the travel to Nigeria after which they will conclude their engagements in Ghana.
On their itinerary included a visit to Kumasi to meet Otumfour Osei Tutu II and a visit to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Well, if you have been in Ghana this week, then we don’t have to reecho what has been happening at KNUST, the university that has been indefinitely shut down following a violent demonstration by the students.

The Royal couple may have to find alternative plans if KNUST is not reopened before their visit.
