KNUST SRC And Student Body To Embark On Peaceful Demonstration Dubbed “KNUST Goes RED”

News and pictures circulating indicate there is going to be a peaceful yet wild demonstration on campus tomorrow following the brutal treatment meted out to students just last Friday.

In a picture circulating, the Student Representative Council (SRC) states clearly that students are to boycott classes tomorrow, the 22nd of October,2018, to put their grievances before the University board.

The demonstration will start from the Peace junction at exactly 7 am.

The Dean has however stated that all classes will go on as scheduled and students who boycott classes do so at their own detriment.

Messages circulating shows the SRC president, Mr Kelvin Sah is in full support of this demonstration but he is yet to speak officially.

Last Friday, students who were having a nice time at a “JAMA” session, got the beatings of their lives when campus security men turned on them.

Eleven victims were handed over to the Police force and detained awaiting investigation whereas one is admitted at the hospital suffering mild concussion causing him to have a blurry memory.
