Many believe that people are privileged with wealth so that they can, in turn, help others in society.

You know, if you’ve got it, you don’t only have to flaunt it but you must also try and pay it forward.

Kevin Okyere, the young Ghanaian who runs a billion dollar company in the oil and gas industry is really going all out to help people in ways that he can.

It seems that story is pushing Kevin Okyere to do more to help people, especially needy sick people.

“It’s easy to take basic medical treatment for granted such as; receiving anti-venom for a snake bite, accessing nebulisers for an asthmatic patient or merely getting a hospital bed after a stroke or any sudden illness at the emergency room,” he recently wrote on Instagram.

“Even though such emergency medication is essential; they are not always readily available at our hospitals here in Ghana and the access becomes impossible when a patient is not financially capable,” he said to make his point and justify his subsequent action.

“For this reason, my team and I have partnered with 37 Military Hospital to provide a monthly allowance to the Emergency Ward. This financial support to the hospital is provided to stock the common, yet extensively critical medication for the patients admitted to the emergency Ward and provide for all those in need.”

According to Kevin, the goal is to “save and improve the lives of as many people as possible. Tackling some of the basic necessities such as medical essentials is a good place to start.”
