Kofi Siriboe has become a Hollywood heartthrob who has achieved success in the television series, Queen Sugar and the drama film, Girls Trip which starred Jada Pinkett Smith as his love interest.
Popular Magazine, People, has also named him as one of the sexiest men alive.
With his newly found superstar status, Kofi could easily go out and look for more lucrative scripts and roles to play.
However, Kofi has decided to use his platform to campaign for mental health.
According to Kofi, society ought to have open discussions about mental health.
Kofi’s own short film titled ‘JUMP’ is an intimate portrait of grief and introspection.
It follows Ziggy, an African American male who is a haunted man and is detached from reality.
Ziggy continues to see a young girl that is telling him to follow her, but every time he finds her, no one is ACTUALLY there. He repeats the words, “I don’t wanna live, I don’t wanna die”, directly signifying the complexity of living a life of depression and actually not wanting to end his the life.
Jump was written and directed by Kofi Siriboe.
